Our Poverty with a View

Well today we did it! We made the big leap and chose our new hardwood floors. YAY! Matt is a little concerned but I told him to rest assure, I have seen this done hundreds of times on HGTV. I mean what could go wrong? These are always my last words-starting with painting the house trim (we had to hire out someone to finish it), the deck project which morphed into new deck, brick paver patio, retaining wall, new fence project. It was all very ugly. It involved a bobcat and a 12 yard dumpster. I then had to shoo away my neighbors from said dumpster because she thought it would be the perfect time to empty out her garage. Sheesh. The projects always turn out beautiful, alas twice as big and twice as expensive, but beautiful neverless! Here are some pictures to prove our handiness, or lack there of!
