We have almost completely rid the master bathroom of the heinous blue ocean of ugly that it once was. Oh, how I wish Kodak Gallery hadn’t deleted my “before” pictures. Excuse me while I go cry in the corner. Ok-back to the project.
Our final project in the bathroom was the Jacuzzi tub. The thing is enormous. I’m sure our house has a carbon footprint the size of sasquatch because of this thing. We love it though. What we didn’t love was the tile surrounding this monster. Here’s a shot of it…
I hate that little blue border.
I started chipping the top of the tile out. Very carefully. As we all know we’re on a budget and said budget does not include a new cement board back. I have to reuse what we have.
One tile at a time.
All clear!
Phase I of the tub redo is complete. Notice the complementing bead board? It’s the magical wallpaper that I bought from Home Depot. I pink puffy heart love that stuff! Next up-tile, trim and paint. And a new faucet.

The bathroom looks gorgeous! I’m going to have to go to Home Depot and check out that bead board. It really transforms things beautifully!
