Sand Bucket List

I’m sure you’ve all heard of the infamous Bucket List. Now I keep seeing people’s Baby Bucket List (things to cross off before becoming parents). It inspired Matt and I to create a Sand Bucket List. Things we want to do before we move away from the beach. Get it? Sand? Beach? Bucket? I’m sure you’re all amused by my witty jokes. I can’t help it. Ahem. Anyways. In no particular order here’s our Sand Bucket List:

- visit the Griffith Park Observatory

- Go to Napa Valley

- Take the ferry to Catalina Island

- Cheer on the Cubs at the Dodgers v. Cubs game

- Santa Barbara wine tasting

- Ride the ferris wheel on the Santa Monica Pier

- See the Redwood trees at the Redwood National Forest

- Take surfing lessons. Matt is flying solo on this one

- Hike to the Hollywood sign

- Take a ridiculously touristy trip on a double decker bus in Los Angeles

- Watch the Long Beach Grand Prix

- Visit the La Brea Tar Pits

- See the Polar Bear Plunge at the San Diego Zoo

- We have a ton of artsy fartsy museums that we want to see too…

              – The Getty Center

              – The Natural History Museum

              – Museum of Contemporary Art

- Turtle Race night at Brennan’s Pub

- Gilroy Garlic Festival

We’ll be keeping track of our progress with a new tab at the top of the page. So is there anything we’re missing? What would you add to the Sand Bucket List? Do you have a To Do List going?

You’re missing “Fly Alexson out to act as garlic consuming companion at Gilroy Garlic Festival.”

When you go to Santa Barbara be sure to hit up Mosby Winery – it’s great! If you have time, eat at the Hitching Post II in Buellton – it’s the restaurant in Sideways.
