Our slipcovers finally made it! I really contemplated making my own but after finding two-piece twill slipcovers with piping for $60 each I decided I couldn’t make my own for that price. We found ours on Overstock.com.
The slipcovers have made a huge difference. Our couches were so grimy, not to mention ripped from our move, we had to cover them up. I went back and forth with the slipcovers. White or not? I LOVED the look of them but I didn’t want to have to worry about them getting filthy. After reading this post by Kristi at Pink & Polka Dot and this post by Melissa at the Inspired Room I decided to go for it. Slipcovers can always be washed!

I love how they make our apartment feel more cottage-y (yes, that’s a real thing). With some fun throw pillows, I think they’ll look great! I didn’t find a slipcover for the ottoman so I will be whipping that sucker up myself. Stay tuned for that.
