Pretty your Potty

Our apartment bathroom is pretty standard. White walls, white tub and tiles and of course the builder issue sink and vanity. I really wanted to freshen this space up but I had to get a little creative since we can’t paint, remove fixtures or hardware or really change the room structurally. So here’s what began with.
So here’s what I’ve found works for our tiny space:
1- Add some art. Why not put up some pretty pieces? Almost all of your guests will use this room. In our main bath we added a cutie etsy print.
In our half bath we accessorized with coral and a sea fan. It’s something fun to look at while you’re uh, doing your biz.
2- Clean up your crap. Well, not crap per se but your stuff. Don’t leave your toiletries and bathroom essentials out for everyone to see. I still like everything within reach so I tend to use baskets to corral all of our stuff. Makeup and hair products are in quick reach but look pretty all tucked away.
3- Towel tricks. Our home stager taught me this and now I am obsessed. Fold over your hand towel twice before you put it in the towel rack. It makes the towel look fluffier and totally plush and it saves space underneath it. Cool huh?
4- Put out some candles or other smell good items. Bathrooms are small (well, ours is) so we like the way the candles light up the room. Plus, I’m sure your guests will appreciate a pleasant smelling commode.
5- Ditch the disposables. Invest in a nice looking soap or lotion dispenser that you can refill. It looks great and you’re saving the planet by keeping those little plastic bottles out of the landfill. Score!

Did you put a color full rug down, my bath is white also and i like to add lots of color to a whte room.
