Hostess with the Mostess

We recently hosted 6 of my family members for a 10 day California adventure. This how we survived the madness.
Food: Have lots of it! I premade and froze the Pioneer Woman’s cinnamon rolls. I also made a couple of breakfast casseroles that we could just pop in the oven before the day’s adventure.
Fun: Since we had 3 kids staying with us (2 of which had never been to California) we wanted their visit to be fun. I found a few sand buckets for a $1 and filled them up with all sorts of beach day goodies. Magazines, candy, beach ball and basically anything from the dollar aisle at Target.
I just added a “Welcome to California” gift tag with some ribbon I had lying around. I think these were a hit!
For the rest of the group, we opted for something a little more adult. A bucket of strawberry margarita mix! Because, what screams vacation more than frozen margaritas? Nothing, that’s what!
I also helped my family out by scouting out some fun daytime activities.
They hit the beach with boogie boards in tow:
Santa Monica Pier:
Disneyland:
We’ve been so lucky to have our families come visit us we’re happy to put them up!

Ahhh, did those cinnamon rolls murder your kitchen? I made such a huge mess making those!
