Hey there! Welcome to the blog. Before you kick your feet up and dig in I bet you want to know who we are. We are a husband and wife duo from Iowa who just blew into La La Land via one very large Penske truck. We’ve already tackled our dream of owning our own home and renovating it from top to bottom. It was hard to let it go and move away from our friends and family but we’re excited about our new life in California. We’re loving exploring our new city and are (re)learning to decorate in an apartment.
Our crew also includes two chi-weenies, Lulu and Lily. They star in a ridiculous amount of photos and videos. Oh, and we dress them up, prepare yourself.
So you want to know more? Like what the heck does “Our Poverty with a View” mean? To us it’s putting in new wood floors and getting a leak in the roof. It’s painting the spare room a grayish-tan, and then a grayish-green, and then a tannish-gray. In short, it’s us living our life, and doing our best to carve our little place into a home. It might not always work out – sometimes it will even suck, but we always have a goal and we’ll get there someday. We might not have everything we want right now, but when we take a step back and look around we like what we see. We hope you do too.
