Home Tour
Posted by Brittney
Here is our new home! If you feel like reminiscing, feel free to visit our old home that we have been remodeling for the past 4 years. Old home tour link HERE.
Living Room: We moved into your standard white walled, vertical blind apartment. Nothing special here.
After: We added some subtle color to the walls. Added a beachy feel with white slip covered sofas, white washed furniture and a sea grass rug.
Kitchen: This room is tiny and full of white. White counters, white cupboards, and white appliances.
After: Not being able to change the structural parts of this room made it hard to break out of the white abyss. We added functional storage above the stove, house plants and kept the counters clutter to a minimum.
Dining Room: This is a little corner off the kitchen and living room. It was a blank slate when we moved in.
After: We continued the color from the living room in here. Added a few thrift store pieces and hung up some art. Cozy enough to invite friends over for drinks and dinner.
Full Bathroom: A standard builder’s grade bathroom. White tile, basic sink and medicine cabinet.
After: We added art and tried to creatively wrangle all of our bathroom necessities while keeping it clean and streamlined for our guests.
The Master Bedroom: More vertical blinds and white walls!
After: We decided not to paint the bedrooms since we won’t be living here for more than a year or two so we tried to get creative with our accessories. The white on white isn’t our favorite but we didn’t want to change all of our frames.
Half Bathroom: Again, we kept the walls white but added accessories that (hopefully!) add some spice to the room and we can bring them with us to our next place.
The office/spare bedroom: A plain Jane room with glass closet doors.
After: With the addition of a new bed and a functional office space this room is a two for one special. A place for visitors and a place for Matt to tune into his conference calls.
The Patio: The pups love lounging in the sun here. With the addition of Adirondack chairs and a rug, it’s a cozy spot to relax after a long day.
So you can’t get enough of our little abode? How about a video tour?
